I am seeking election to Judge Seat 9 to keep doing the humbling work of a district court judge in Hennepin County. As incumbent, I have firsthand experience working on the issues facing the largest judicial district in Minnesota.

First, I believe the judiciary not only resolves disputes and administers justice but it is also able to reach people to empower change. Second, I believe the person standing before the court represents an opportunity to genuinely connect with an individual and to have a meaningful conversation that may transform their path in life.  Third, I believe, as U.S. Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall did, that "the legal system can force open doors and sometimes even knock down walls but it cannot build bridges.  That job belongs to you and me."

As judge, husband, father, and citizen of Hennepin County, I promise to you that I will do my best to serve humbly, to act with compassion and to build the bridges Justice Marshall referenced. These are the reasons I ask for your support and vote on Tuesday, November 8, 2016.
